So seriously, what is this thread about exactly?

Endeavor has a tentative agreement, we’ll find out what’s in it next week. Main goal was to convert the yearly $23k bonus into pay rates. On top of that there are supposed to be gains in sick, retirement, and reserve rules.

That's what I figured. Because their contract expires 2018.

If they're able to roll bonuses into good rates, other regionals, notably WO's will be forced to follow.

This will be good for us all.

Pay rates are only a small part of what will be announced. The MEC is meeting on Tuesday to discuss the language and it'll be pushed out to the pilot group Wednesday.

The references in the words are AA for the Eagle contract signed in 1997 for 18 yrs duration, and OO is Skywest and taking good jabs at them. The owl thing was pretty funny, well done

If they raise pay significantly and then other regionals follow suit, I wonder how much ammo this will give the LCCs currently fighting it out for better pay? This will be good for more than just the regional sector of this industry.

No, the retention bonus expires at the end of 2018. The contract is the end of 2019, IIRC.
