. So I'm curious how it's different in the A320, if hitting VS after the altitude capture mode has already initiated screws up the AP logic with regards to altitude capture and hold, but I can see where people from my company transitioning would drive Derg crazy...
The 320 does a pretty nice job leveling off and not becoming a mock- vomit comet ride. But yes I always figured it was basic airmanship not to go rocketing into traffic above you at 4000fpm, I'd usually go VS +/- 1000fpm enough in advance to avoid that scenario.
