PUBNAT3

I just got my scores back today (11:06am posted online) and took the test in Peachtree City, GA on Monday the 11th. The score popped up on the opening page after logging in to the asap site, 88.2%. Sooooo I am waiting for geo preference etc. :nana2:

Just got back from the AT-SAT. Had a little trouble with the math (had like 2 or 3 to go when time ran out) and, of course, the questions on letter factory (I flat-out guessed on 90% of them). Also, a few analogies puzzled me. Other than that, I think I did ok. Hopefully I will be like everyone else and do better than I think I did.

I had the same math issues...it will interesting to see if our scores are similar.

Just came back from doing the test, I'm also worried about the math section, but hopefully God will be on my side and help me continue with this process :)

Fun to hear everyone in our group getting back from the AT-SAT... feel like we've all gone through an initiation or something. After walking out, I briefly considered posting something up here from my phone, but decided that I'd rather go take a nap... my brain felt fried.

1. Dials - very easy!

Definitely. Nice one to start out with... build up our confidence before hitting us with the math, eh. I couldn't imagine anybody not making it through this one comfortably.

2. Math - Yikes. I didn't finish them all :-( Oh man...

I found this one easier than what was given in the Green Book, but I finished with only few minutes left -- so yeah, definitely a challenge. I suppose this is one we'll suggest skipping over hard ones to those who follow after us, since it sounds like a few people had to miss a couple.

3. Scan - Not bad, goes by quickly

I agree, Scan was really a pleasant surprise -- it only got hectic for a couple of brief moments.

4. Angles - Easy, but there were 1 or 2 where it was close.

Yep. Another one that was easier than the Green Book, which would give options that were too close to each other (i.e. 60 and 70 degrees in one question).

5. Letter Factory - as expected. Some questions fine, others hard. Moving letters/boxes easy.

More complex that I was prepared for. The game itself wasn't too much to handle, really, it was just the situational awareness questions. I felt much more comfortable with it after a couple of them; any time that I wasn't clicking, I was thinking "OK, Orange need B and C, Purple needs A, Line C is highest, I just placed a gr--- crap, here's the questions." Cut down on guessing once you knew what to expect.

6. Scenerios - rocked it

Me too; the online flash version was a huge help in preparing for this. I ran into problems in the practice one because I kept trying to bring in planes too fast in the pursuit of efficiency, but got it knocked out by the test.

Some lady two seats down must've crashed 15 planes... funny to hear. Didn't seem to faze her a bit, though.

7. Analogies - strange, but I did OK I think

Ugh. What a headache. The visual ones really weren't too bad, but the word ones... having three different ways in which words could relate, and then stating that sometimes answers will have more than one solution... grrr. I was pretty frustrated with this one, especially after being on a high following the Scenarios. I think it made it worse that I don't see any correlation between this part of the test and being an effective controller; the rest of them were pretty clear.

How many people showed up at y'alls test sites? Only 6 people at mine in Houston, including myself. The two proctors told me that they had 20 scheduled... no idea what went down there.

Anxious to get results back. Congratulations to those who've already gotten them and qualified (or well-qualified).

So I took my test on the 14th and didn't get my score back. I know it might be too soon by im going to go nuts this weekend until I find out how I did. Anyone on the 14th get test results?

thanks for the info! I hope you all did better than you thought you would. And don't get too shaken up, i'm sure that at this point in the hiring process as long as you remain determined and persistent to nab this career you'll eventually find a way in. I wouldn't be surprised if I have to take the test twice. But even then if I don't pass the OTS process, my college counselor and I are setting up a 2 year transfer program to the ATC-CTI school near me so I'm doing it! Period!

Stay excited and keep your noses to the grindstone.

P.S. does anyone know the timing between the completion of one AT-SAT group and the Authorization of the next? (i.e. 'Nat3-'Nat4)

There were 13 that showed up at my testing session in Arlington, TX. For some reason I thought there would be a lot more?

PUBNAT3 was notified the day after PUBNAT2 finished testing.

I tested on 8/13 in Lisle, Il (around Chicago) and there were 34 people on the list to take the test. They told me they only had 30 computers because they counted on a few not showing. I counted how many were there...14. I couldn't believe that many people would apply and not show up for the test. I mean, they obviously scheduled it for that date!

I took the AT-SAT August 9th in Lisle, IL. I noticed some people that have taken the test after me have already gotten their scores back. I am still waiting on mine. Should I call Monday and see what's going on or is this the norm?

Yeah, same deal for us -- 14 computers set up, 20 people on the list, and only six showed, including myself. I don't get it -- why spend all that time on the application, then call in and *schedule* a time to take the test, and not show? I get the impression that less than 50% of the people who call up actually come.

Maybe it's just spending time on here with a bunch of people who are serious about ATC as a career, but that kind of blows my mind. It's not like you're applying to flip burgers or something -- this is hard stuff that needs to be taken seriously. Separating the wheat from the chaff, I suppose.

Hmm.. well, knowing the little that I do it sounds like there could be some slight delays since it's the weekend. I would assumed you've already checked the ASAP page.

Yes I check ASAP every hour at least. I am doing my best to be patient.
