**Big News For February Applicants**

Congratulations, everyone!!! :nana2:

Did anyone perchance put Las Vegas as their #1 or #2 choice, and get selected for it? I'm curious as to KLAS' and VGT's hiring trends.

I have not received an email and I also put down Denver center. Just curious as to what your at-sat score was.
94
I don't know if it counts but I also have a bachelors, 4 years of dispatch experience, another 2 or 3 years in aviation, a commercial/multi/instrument/CFI/CFII license....

For everyone waiting...if you look under your ASAP account and click applications...then submitted...and then if you look under the states you were referred to..it should have an update....I applied for one state under the CTI vacancy that closed 5/30...(was referred 6/5) im assuming that they had very few openings in the state I chose or lots of veterans who got first dibs...I have an air traffic management degree(summa cum laude), and scored well-qualified on my AT-SAT..anyways this is what it said in my ASAP account...ill be calling the FAA to see what the deal is.....

"The office with this vacancy has either decided not to fill the position at this time or has made a selection from another referral list or a selection was made under another hiring authority. We appreciate your interest in employment with the Federal Aviation Administration. Please continue to check the website for vacancies of interest to you."

--Does this mean I just reapply for the next CTI opening and wait to be on the referral list again?

This does NOT apply to the OTS announcements starting 02/15 because we chose our geographic preferences outside of ASAP. For everyone who applied for OTS this year, after you are put on a referral list you will see nothing more in ASAP.

Wow, a lot can happen in two days. I was expecting to wait a couple more weeks to hear something. Good luck to everyone that has recieved emails, and please wish those who haven't (including me) some luck as well.

FROM WHAT I HEAR THEY ONLY PICKED PEOPLE FROM OUR APPLICATION WHO WERE WELL QUALIFIED.. BUT EMAIL WILL BE GIVEN OUT SPORATICALLY.. I DONT KNOW WHY. BUT MY FATHER KNOWS A COUPLE OF PEOPLE WHO PICKED THE APPLICANTS.. ME MY SELF I JUST MADE IT. THANK GOD BUT WAITING FOR MY EMAIL

CONGRATS TO ALL:nana2:

i'm still waiting...

applied for Hawaii #1, then California #2 (bay area counties)

well qualified on asat, and last name: M

In!! Got my first choice of NY, last name begins with an F. I chose the New York PEPC, hopefully I'll get in...I didn't see my e-mail until this morning. I'm so excited!

Quick Question--the e-mail states I was chosen for a terminal position in NY...however, I'm only aware of NY Terminals that are located far north of where I stated I was interested in my geographic selection [Long Island/Queens areas]. Am I missing something or am I going to end up heading to Buffalo lol

At this point, I believe you have been chosen by the state so anything within that state is probably an option. You should find out at the PEPC or maybe you can call someone to find out.

Anywhere in NY is fair game now for you, but terminal includes both towers and TRACONs, right? I don't see how that wouldn't include anything down here

I have bachelors in Aviation Management and Computer Science, 1 year in the aviation industry working as a flight follower for a Fedex feeder. So hopefully I will here soon. I scored a 95, so essentially the score.

Thanks ATLTRACON...I thought there were terminals in that area but when I looked on the FAA site under NY, I only saw ones for Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, etc...appreciate the clarification

:nana2: Just checked mine and there it is ...gonna opt for the chicago PEPC......whoohooo....:nana2:

Jookboks, Congrats!!!! If you indicated LI (Suffolk/Nassau counties) and Queens county there's a good chance you'll be placed in one of those areas considering NY is such a huge state
