Anything even a corporatist Democrat (and there are a LOT of those and they're all pretty gross) does or wants to do is going to be called socialism anyway, partially owing to the successful conservative dismantling of public education over the last two decades which means people can't even spell "socialism" much less know what it means, so we might as well just get on with the governing anyway and hope for the best.

It just frustrates me that there are so many libertarian •lords who act like we didn’t run the unfettered capitalist hellhole experiment already and decided we hated it. And even more that so many of said •lords are fellow wage slaves.

Lots of people out there think they’re special, juiced in or just smarter than the average bear. They cut their own deals and WILL toss everyone else under the bus claiming some pseudo-righteous reason(s).
There’s a somewhat larger subset who claim such high ground and have a limited number of friends/peers/“supporters” that make “we’re the silent majority” noises, but they’re just the same people grouped together in a brief alliance. Those groups unspool rapidly after whatever transient condition has passed, and they go right back to looking out for themselves.
In either case, they’re bad news and are to be avoided when possible.
