So I'm confused. I just got an email saying I don't meet one or more of the minimum requirements, but I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of dispatch experience. Weird. I wonder which minimum requirement that is?

Same boat lol so confused … I actually interviewed with them virtually in the summer and just wasn’t selected at the end
 
When I interviewed with them and they asked me a scenario question they kept harping on how DIspafch responded and I kept to keep emphasising what we did to resolve the situation.
 
For anyone currently at JetBlue, what is the consensus regarding the Spirit acquisition?
Does everyone expect/want to stay in NYC, or are there talks about moving/adding additional OCC locations (i.e Florida)?

Just a aluminum tube relocation specialist here, and IMHO, it's way too early in the process to even consider what's gonna happen with this.

The merger is on step 2 of about 5278 steps. And any speculation would be just that... speculation. For instance Azul Norte has a massive, expanding, training center and housing facility on the field in MCO. The MagicSchoolBus is currently building the same type of facility in FLL.

In the future... One? Both? Neither? Split Schoolhouses? Well... just like where the operational control center will be... that's a decision about 4000 steps down the road.

The jetBlue CEO did a townhall with the Spirit CEO for Spirit employees and this was brought up. His answer was they don't know yet, but he said "I think two is probably what we'll do but we don't know yet". A comment was made that they had wanted to do a split OCC in the past but didn't get to doing it, and they welcome the experience Spirit offers in running a split OCC. He also acknowledged that NY isn't everyone's cup of tea which is why they already have support centers in Orlando and Salt Lake City, and they are looking forward to the Dania Pointe building opening up.

Yep and Florida is also not everyone’s cup of tea, mine included. So I do also hope they offer a split SOC or stay in NYC.
 
I know interviews have started but I don't believe everyone was called/sent TBNT's just yet. The company is on a hiring frenzy so our HR dept is backed up. I do know that there were about 400 applicants so it took them a while to vet that.

Can confirm that the Dania Pointe facility that Spirit is building is most certainly going to be used by jetBlue, both from the town hall and around the Spirit office. Spirit plans to move their ops floor from Miramar to the Dania Pointe facility as soon as it's complete, with the plan being for sometime in early-mid 2024. Now, the fate of the MCO OCC that Spirit has is a bit more complicated and Mr. Hayes didn't quite comment on it when someone brought it up, but I would guess that the MCO OCC might be phased out (both Spirit's and the assets jetBlue has of their own there) in favor of putting all resources into the Dania Pointe facility once that is finished. The Dania Pointe facility should be complete by mid 2024 at the latest, which would coincide with the merger completing as well (officially legal anyway, flying on a single certificate probably won't happen until 2025).

Keep in mind that this is all planned hearsay very early on in the merger process and both Robin Hayes and Ted Christie say it's subject to change over the next year and a half, but that is the general framework they were willing to share so far moving forward.
