I've had controllers try to MVA me into terrain before.

When things get busy, forgotten MVA vectors gotta eat, same as worms.

Opinions are like asses. We've all got one. And it's your choice to trust your life to another. Trust me... ATC will be "very very sorry" and you'll be "very, very dead".

Still, I was there. It was a teachable moment for me and my FO/Student and has been used in every single ground school course since. (BTW, we all make mistakes... no pilots or controllers were harmed in this, er, deal.)

If it is a true teachable moment why not, uh, teach? Not just simple drive-by BS-scented one-liners?

Sorry, say again? What's your itch? I teach all the time. I've taught my entire career as a shiny jet pilot. I taught academics before that.

I've been educated that this is a BSing board, right?? I scribe a considered essay... all I get is TL/DR or "you're tiring".

Now you want me to teach here? Is that it???

Based solely on internet detective-ing, the aircraft is owned by a person in Fort Lauderdale, possibly with their initials in the reg, and appears to be brokered by a company at the same address.

This tit for tat with you has become "tiring."

For what it's worth, it's been my observation that you are a smart dude and an experienced pilot with lots of terrific observations about aviation stuff, as well as life in general. You constantly and repeatedly make good points, even -sometimes- when calling bunk on me. I've got no umbrage with you.

That said, I was taught early and often that when a bully or bullshirt presents itself, push back immediately and push back hard. I'm going to stop doing that.

So, can we stop this now and go back to being natural allies, if not friends?

(To be clear, I’m referring to the clearly written readability, and the “I’m going to stop doing that” part of your post. Not the part where you say nice things about me - that is never a prerequisite in dealing with me.)

Well, in the spirit of peace, I will do my best. I can't ensure universal readability to an average 6th grade reading comp level, though.

Me too, it was clear and 20. I was in my Viking heading for Mt Baldy. I knew ATC forgot about stopping my climb, I let it go as long as I could. Might as well make show out of it.

Slow and clear I said: Approach, 01B, I see nothing but granite in my windshield.

The SoCal frequency went dead quiet. Everyone heard what I said. That's when the controller made mistake #2, "O1B say again?"
 
That’s a hard sell until I get a full demo and some run time. The old version was buggy and impossible to use, too many better products out there. But then, I tried to tell you all this months ago.
C'mon man... you know the drill. It's ALL disruptive these days. Bugs? Those are just beta features.
