THAT would be • and elbows in a jet.Missed, depending on which approach, is a climb to 1200 or 1400 feet (650’ field el.), then a climbing left turn.

Could be worse. There are more than a few plates in Alaska marked “go around improbable.”
Yikes! Better get it down the first time.Could be worse. There are more than a few plates in Alaska marked “go around improbable.”
Really? "You must cancel before you request." Like, ah, that???How does ATC “make” someone cancel?
I don't know. Which one is at question, again? If we can specify, I can probably give you an answer. How we get from circle to visual then back to circle?
Well, technically, afaik, a visual approach is executed on an IFR flight plan. I think ORD approach was messing with you. As I stated earlier, a visual approach not under IFR is just an approach.Example 1 for the court:
Chicago approach will not allow you to fly a visual approach to RW34 at PWK until you cancel IFR. Someone way smarter than me can explain the why in detail.
What's MSA?? As in ALL things aviation, "it depends."What is that; like 1000 feet?
Yeah. But I've never gone in there that they didn't demand a cancellation before executing the circle to 34.Pretty sure it can go either way, depending on what KORD’s doing. Sometimes get the circle, sometimes have to cancel to use 34.
Unless they're not busy and quick, MSA more likely.
I have. Often.Yeah. But I've never gone in there that they didn't demand a cancellation before executing the circle to 34.
Joey, do you like Gladiator movies, and Whittier?Could be worse. There are more than a few plates in Alaska marked “go around improbable.”
Hmm. I'm just lucky, I guess.I have. Often.
Ooh, crap. They just now figured out there were three more people on it? No expert but I thought that was on the flight plan. Rip.
approach doesn’t use MSA that’s an enroute thing only.Unless they're not busy and quick, MSA more likely.
Fair enough.approach doesn’t use MSA that’s an enroute thing only.
Wow! Thanks, FAA! Your oversight is perspicacious and precisely aimed. Channeling Damon in The Departed now, "why don't you go ramp check a kitten in a tree."Ooh, crap. They just now figured out there were three more people on it? No expert but I thought that was on the flight plan. Rip.
