“Participation trophy?!?” Trophies are for WINNERS!

Just how noisy is a Sewer Pipe that the crew wouldn't notice a big-ass hole in the back of the plane?

It seems like there was admirable handling after the event by all parties (maybe not continuing to assign 17L after potential FOD, but that stopped quickly, too). I'm glad everyone is alive.

Devils advocate: maybe this is why those business jet guys were being d***s in Idaho.

I’ve flown with a couple airline pilots (both seats) where I’ve wondered how were they flying an airliner?! I can’t imagine those numbers in the GA world where there is no age limit, no recurrent other than a biannual, and no SOPs other than what the pilot decides to use that day.

It's pretty noisy. But not as bad as the Beech 99. I'm almost that I lost hearing flying the 99.

N52241.. Cheyenne hitting a 172? That one is burnt in my brain and still startles me today.

Yep, that’s the one. For me, it’s one on those memories like the challenger or 9/11 where I can remember exactly where I was and who I was with. Such a horrible day.

I instructed out of a non-towered airport, and used to fly a citation and even CRJs into a lot of busy non-towered airports. There’s a way to be safe and play nice with others without being a jerk. Demanding everyone get out of your way because “you’re in a jet!” isn’t safe and it’s IMO really amateur hour.

Yeah, true. That was over the line which is why we all made fun of them.

It’s APA.

Fun begins at 23:50.

FlightAware looks pretty much like your basic overshoot on base to a parallel.

KL was on a long straight in. He doesn’t know he was hit, thinks he just lost an engine.

Like a boss!

"Do you require any assistance?"

"Nah, I'ma just taxi this beeich over here and turn it off.". Amazing no one was killed.

You think he still pulled the prop through on the engine that didn't quit?

I don’t see a feathered prop?
