What do you make as a 121 pilot

How much income per year do you make as a pilot? Only pilot income (not investments or other)

Hmmmm that's not good. I would think it would affect everyone using that database. Please file whatever safety reports you have available to you.

Hence the 2 hour call with my CP yesterday and the one we are having with Garmin this week. Ironically in the middle of my regional interview.

Save a life.....get a new job....decisions decisions

I voted the last amount I made at SWA before quitting.

Short answer is that APC is mostly accurate, but it’s wildly incomplete. In other words, the pay rates are within a few bucks, but pay rates are a very small portion of the puzzle. I flew only 150-250 hours a year my last few years before I left the industry, but because of work rules I made ridiculous effective hourly rates because of that. So as @Derg always says, it’s all about the work rules. If you’re a major airline FO after first year pay and not well into the $100s, something is wrong. If you’re a major airline CA and not clearing $200, something is wrong. So I think your perception of the industry is a bit off. Hell, I made $85k as a regional CRJ captain on 5 year pay, and that was over a decade ago at one of the worst paying regionals at the time. Plenty of RJ captains are clearing six figures. But I’ll also say that six figures ain’t what it used to be. But that’s another discussion.

I fly an ugly yellow bus and made <100 last year. (CA and yes old pay rates). I also didn’t work that hard as I dropped a lot of days to work with the wife’s schedule. Since I don’t have the option to drop reserve days much anymore with the new contract and with the new pay rates I expect it will be more next year......

After starting about 3 years ago at the airline with all day trips, I'm trending to make 175k this year on reserve not including profit sharing/401k. I'm averaging getting called for 3 turns/day trips a month then I will pick up 1 or 2 turns at the most on my days off.

Yikes! Dropping trips to fall below minimum guarantee is costly! I did really well and it was only for six months.

It is but it’s also costly to have the wife sell all hers for $1000 a month. No good answer for us now other then at least the pay raise will will offset her selling her trips since I can’t drop as much . It is what it is, I’m grateful we still have the good health ins plan (even if no one else can get on it).

We never opted for that medical plan and did fine on the next tier POS.

As you make more, can’t you hire someone to watch the “children”?

Here’s what I make as a 121 pilot.

I make my wife happy, because I’m no longer an ever-tired stress ball.
I make my doctor happy, because my blood pressure dropped to better than normal within three months of getting this job.
I make my friends happy now that I can visit them whenever no matter where they live. (Okay, that makes me happy, they could be sick of it).
I make more time for me and my family.
I make myself happy I still get to fly something.

It really isn't.

I had a jumpseater from a regional tell me, "I made six figures and have every weekend off" as an answer to "If Brand X is treating you that poorly, everyone is hiring"

"Enjoy that".

$100K, in 2018, is basically a decently-equipped Honda Accord and a median condominium east of New Mexico and south of New Jersey.

Which is why most people are paycheck to paycheck at about half that income. Rent/mortgage, car, basics(food, clothes) and there's $0 left at median income levels after taxes and insurance.
