Except not. Not sure why you get so fired up like that over it, you all got your way. Chill ;)

You guys are absolutely welcome to whatever opinion you have. Many of the points on the "no" side were correct or possibly correct... but calling it a "pay cut" is just plain wrong. And it makes "no" voters sound stupid.

So what do you think is a good way to talk about cost of living increases? I can think of so many costs that gone up way more than just inflation. I came from the cutthroat world of 91/135 where for the past 10 years you simply negotiated starting pay and that is all you got. Hell, employers didn't even give a raise for the entire time I worked there. So don't get me wrong, I thought getting anything was OK. While I am not looking for silly money, it would be nice if the pay raises reflected at least the inflation rate average for the past year or years. Which would be way more than 1 or 2%.

I agree saying "pay-cut" is dumb but at the end of the 5 years we will be able to buy less with our post TA money than we can buy now.

I'm not knocking anyone down for voting yes, as I am a full believer of the right to vote.

However, everyone that voted yes "in my opinion" doesn't have a firm understanding on the art of negotiations.

To each his/her own

Ahh yes the subtle art of "always vote no on the first offer." Haha

I spoke Embraer to the Embraer pilot.

There's no bloody reason at all that the checklist headings are different, especially after SOPM "alignment," but we do not work In My Perfect Little World, of course. :)

Don't get me wrong. I'm loving it so far. I just think that 5 years from now at least a few people will wonder why they can no longer afford dinner and a movie for date night, once a month.
