Skywest Questions

Yeah this is a money saving measure from what I understand. Only one Skywest pilot can be listed for the Jumpseat on Delta flight, unless that pilot pays the $50 fee. If you don't pay the fee in advance, they will charge you the full $200 plus taxes for Delta benefits.

Everything you need to know about jump seating explained:

I'd like to add I got left behind on my own metal OO operated DAL express.

@Autothrust Blue a year really isn't that long.

Is SAPA going to get this fixed because like Derg said it's not their system it's ours. We shouldn't have this problem at all. Being left behind especially by an OO operated flight feels terrible.

Sarcasm, Holmes. (And sometimes a week feels long.)

I dunno. Call Russ.

Can commuting to long call reserve be done? As in sitting in Phoenix while based on ORD.

Common practice or playing with fire?

Well, you have 12 hours to play with. As long as you can cover your commute reasonably within that time, go for it. I've had quite a few LCRs in the jumpseat, and they usually are playing that game on short flights / same timezones / plenty of daily departures. Just be aware they can and will convert you to SCR, so might need a hotel.

No. The student council jumpseat chair told me personally that it was a delta mainline issue and there was nothing they could do. This was roughly 6 months ago when I too was left behind.

Re-reading it I can see it now and chuckled. I'm not calling Russ, because he will just cold call me next year to vote for him since he looked into it for me.

I did not vote for RJ either.

But watching our own metal owned by us leaving me behind with a ton of open seats was very frustrating.

Got asked the same thing a couple days ago asking to list for the jumpseat on Delta to pay $211. Just asked the guy if I could list for the jumpseat and not non-rev. He didn't seem impressed but....let's be real I don't have the money to travel on my days off anyways....

So it sounds like this will be a common occurrence jumpseating Delta? I've just been using United and American the last 2 months.

Is it 211 bucks per ride or for the year or a one time thing?

"Hey, everyone!"

Can't hardly seem to find anyone who did, but maybe I just don't socialize with 'em to start with.

Something like 2/3rds of Student Council didn't neither.

Reprehensible indeed.

Honestly, the pass-activation fee would have probably saved you and allowed you to flow back to the NRSA list from the PJS list if it was SkyWest d/b/a Delta Connection.
