Skywest Questions

Is that what you guys talk about in the #hatwearersclub ?
I didn't know we had a club. And no, this week we (self, hat-wearing FO recently awarded DTW commandante) discussed a whole bunch of other things on our way to/from the various places.

Is it normal to never get called on reserve once you hit your 100 hours? After my trip mid march I have not flown a single leg... Feeling like I'll be rusty when the call happens lol

I've hardly flown since cracking 100 hours. Usually I get one, maybe two trips during a 4 or 5 day reserve stretch. Hell, I spent more time on dead heads than actually flying last month. (MSP CRJ in case you were windering.)

I went a solid month and a half in ORD without working last year. Can't really speak for the other bases though.

You guys will probably hate me for this, but I'm a 1.5 year CRJ FO in ORD and possibly will transition over to the ERJ soon.

I hope I get a line if I do...I've been waiting patiently.

Do I understand that you're planning on becoming an ERJ FO over upgrading on the CRJ?

Yeah, to each his own, but I really can't fathom any reason to do this. Your seniority is undoubtedly better on the CRJ. It's just a lateral move to a more senior airplane so you can sit in the same seat but with a way worse schedule. It's a great airplane.... But I wish I had gone to the other one and upgraded by now.
