Skywest Questions

How does the jumpseat/open space in the back work with American? I was reading this today-

Some off lines are "limited;" meaning only as many jump seaters from limited airlines as there are cockpit jump seats. If an unlimited pilot is checked in first and there is only one seat, then there is technically no room for a limited pilot, even with seats in the cabin. Check with your local chairman for your status.

Are SkyWest pilots allowed to sit in the back if there is room?

@bc2209

That is incorrect information. There are no more "limited" jumpseat agreements with AA anymore.

If there are seats in the back by the time they get to you on the priority list, you get a seat in the back, regardless of any other jumpseaters listed.

How do you see your reservation with a deadhead reservation code? Do I need to wait 24 hours prior?

I have the actual reservation number but looking it up on UAL says travelers information does not match.

Have to wait until 24hr before to have it in your name.

You can actually pull up your reservation 30 hours prior and pick a seat. You can't check in till 24 prior.

I had tried that before and it didn't work but now it did for a flight tomorrow. Looks like I'm moving on up in the world

The way I understand it (which means I may not understand it at all) is that a modified pairing identifier may or may not get pushed to the Delta system...so if you have a modified pairing, try the most current identifier (e.g. S1234C) before trying the earlier revisions.

I'm fresh out of training and awaiting differences and IOE for the CRJ. I hear it could take a while before IOE is scheduled so I've been thinking about ways to stay fresh and not lose everything I've learned.

Any tips or advice on how to keep things from deteriorating?

Just follow the same discipline and tactics you used during sim like chair flying, practicing flows, reviewing profiles ,etc... BUT.... Make sure you go on some observation flights.
