Had a bro who went through this.

Showed up at work...no signs, agent, airplanes, nuffin,...everything not physically bolted to the airport structure was gone. Cycled through most of the company phone numbers...all disconnected.

Finally calls the owners home: "Yea we shut down last night. Guess someone should have called you".

My guess is this kind of story goes back to 1903.

Pretty much.

I once knew a dude who had a nose for trouble. He could sniff out issues before they manifested themselves into something ugly.

He used it successfully to dodge most unpleasant events like unexpected shutdowns and to be somewhere else when poop grenades went off.

One day he'd just be gone. If you were a close bro, he MIGHT say "hey man, I'm splitting, it's a bad scene here", and that was about all you'd hear about it until the crap hit the fan some months later.

He was so successful at it, I considered it a minor superpower....sort of like being able to turn invisible, but only when no one is looking.

@epilotdream91 Why did you not apply at Cape Air? They told us that they would love to help all the pilots. It was so unfortunate to hear your operation shutting down by the time lunch was over.

I thought about it believe it or not but i only have my private multi unfortunately.
