I've never done that.
Or answered a freq change, select it, then check on.....all to the cab.

That isn't normal? I've cleared the passengers to takeoff in EMB products before.

Nope! 757/767, at least the varieties I've flown have a logical COM panel. The FNWA 75's, I have no idea. The T-Dubbs did though.

On the SAAB the PA button and transmit button are separate of the COMM panel. No inadvertent talking to the pax accidentally.
