So I ended up logging in, applying for the position for the second time (applied for the first time in January), and then realized I needed to update my info/resume in a separate section. Anyone know if it's ok that I re-applied first, then updated my profile after submitting my application?

I would guess that should be ok.
 
The assessment test that is being sent out in this hiring window is new. They updated it recently. Has anyone taken it in the last week and can confirm that it is still personality questions with some cognitive questions as well?

Yeah I took the test last night. It starts off with the cognitive questions. I think it was mentioned here before but they are timed at 3 minutes a piece. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but a few of them were pretty tough.
 
Anyone else have an issue with uploading a resume and cover letter? I upload them, submit, and it doesn't indicate anything has been posted?

I was updating pretty much everything I had when I was updating my Virgin America application. Earlier someone asked if I applied to the new position or if I just updated my previous one. My answer is "honestly, I'm not quite sure." So I tried to log in on my phone really quick to double check. Because my phone doesn't have my password saved, I guessed and went through a bunch of my usual ones and have locked my account. Tried to answer the security questions under "I forgot my password" but I guess I don't remember exactly what my answer was for those either.

All it says is "account locked, try back at a later time." It has been about 5 days. Any suggestions?

If you haven't already solved the problem, I had the exact same issue a few months ago and emailed one of the contact/support links on the page (I forget exactly what it was now). I'm not exactly @Autothrust Blue when it comes to IT, but I was able to figure it out. They unlocked the login and I was able to reset my password.

The point being: It doesn't seem to reset/unlock with time. You have to actively contact them to reset everything. Probably counts as a red flag on your app when that happens.
 
Major hiring announcement and upgrades:

"that we will be hiring 90 First Officers and performing 38 Captain upgrades in 2016. This is the largest expansion of our pilot group since 2008. The first class of New Hires will start training in early November and the first Captain upgrade class to start ground school in late January. All hiring and Captain upgrades will be in position and flying the line by July 1 in time for our busy July and August flying."

That's significant. We have 640 pilots now and hiring 90 FOs would put us at 730 total and all from November 2015 - June 2016. That's a 15% increase in the pilot group in 8 months! Anyone looking to get hired here, apply as soon as the window opens and do the best you can on the assessment. 90 FOs means quick movement away from reserve.
 
Why don't I know how to edit quotes yet? Is there a tutorial on the home page I don't know about, or something??
Edit, omg that was tough, I figured it out and fixed it. Yay me.

So...since the window is now closed any insight into how long it takes for guys/gals to get an invite? Anyone who applied during the most recent window hear anything yet?

Seriously, look at what this career has done to people. You gotta get out there and live your life. You act like they are going to take both copies, place them on top of eachother, and hold them up to the light.
