Yeah, I know. But our peers fill our heads with such dire warnings "One page resume!" "Red tie!" "Bring a cake!"

It's insanity considering they're the ones who need us.
 
In the Jan and Feb classes, we've had guys come from all over the place, regionals, military, etc..... but 3 surprising places: UPS :ooh:, Walt Disney Corp :eek2:, and IndiGo o_O



Interviewing, hiring, and upgrades continue. Hopefully the good times continue to roll.
 
I talked to them at NGPA and as far as I can tell, it went quite well. How is life there overall? I'm on the East Coast and my #1 pick right now is JetBlue, but Virgin has me curious as well. I actually caught their red eye out of LAX after NGPA, first time on board and they definitely are different! Great crews!

I'd say their people are the best part of VX right now. I love flying with them.

Best experience I've had flying commercial, that's gotta mean something. I'm hopeful there is room in this world for an airline that wants to focus on delivering a "product"...In a sense, Spirit has certainly honed in on that, despite your feelings about the "product".
 
Anyone know if we get another chance to take the assessment? Think I might have screwed up on the assessment the first time I applied (over 12 months ago). I've been applying every time the window opens. I was under the impression that after 12 months I could retake the assessment. Anyone know if that's true? Every time I apply, the website asks if I've applied for a position OR taken the assessment within 12 months. I answer "Yes" because I have applied recently, but it's been over 12 months since I've taken the assessment. Anyone know if I should keep answering "Yes"? Or should I answer "No" so I can retake the assessment?

Yeah you have to wait 12 months. I would just start a new fresh application.
 
Reviving this thread from the dead rather than starting a new one...

Had a talk with Virgin recruiter at NGPA yesterday and he said the window was open again, which I confirmed on their website.

However, at the fair he was able to look up my assessment status from my previous application that was less than 12 months ago and said that I had passed the assessment and to simply update my app.

Now as I go through the app it will not let me continue to submit a complete app without taking the assessment again, despite telling it that I have completed the assessment within the last 12 months. The "fix-it" like email I received from Virgin stating to complete the assessment is a do-not-reply email, so who should I contact there to clarify?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I've recently heard the exact same sequence of events occur as you described. Just retake the assessment?

1. Its not exactly easy and is somewhat time consuming 2. Id rather not take it again and risk getting a worse score and hurt my chances of getting an invite for interview.

If I didnt have the knowledge that I passed I might be in a position to say, well maybe I didnt pass the last one since clearly I havent got an interview. But with the knowledge that I have passed Id rather use that original score.

Did the recruiter mention anything about sending you a chief pilot questionnaire?
