Supposedly Alaska just cut their roundtrip ticket prices between Seattle and Juneau in half. I never looked before but it's $244 roundtrip now plus double miles.

Actually, the rumor mill is pointing to Spirit starting service from PDX to Juneau as well. Maybe Alaska cut their fares because of that as well?

It means a 3 day medical process, and a medical before flying every day, including a breathalyzer each time, I believe. This is for Russian rated pilots.

I went through the medical process in Kiev, which is similar. I did not get tested every day as the Russian and Ukrainian pilots did, but it was always a possibility. It's kind of sad they have to do that, but it's one of the reasons I'm still employed over there.
