Perfectly good airplane over the bridge turned into that. Crazy.

Bearing in mind that those images are basically what it looked like the moment it came to rest, I can't believe how good the survival/injury rate was. A testament to the airplane design itself, I suppose.
 
It's amazing how many people survived. But looking through the first few pictures i was thinking of how fragile the plane looked. Amazing engineering.
 
It's disturbing how easily seats come off of the floor in transport aircraft. You'd think that would be more dangerous than the impact itself.
 
I must be having an off day but what is circled in one picture and what are the arrows pointing at in the other?
 
Wow, like everyone else said, looking at that not knowing the facts I would expect far more fatalities.

Hopefully these pics will be used in many CRM training exercises at the carrier from here on out.
