Pinnacle 1113 Term Sheet to the Pilots

Well time to get ready for slavery boys. Company to file motion to reject current JCBA and impose whatever work rules they deem necessary.

If the exodus didn't already start wait until what we see now!

It'll still be about a month before it gets officially tossed out. If that happens, not only will people leave in droves, but the on-time performance will drop through the Earth's crust....

Yeah, 3-4 weeks they say. I'm still not 100% convinced the company is going to get what they want. What will really piss me off is if the MEC •s their pants over this and tries to give us a worthless TA.

The judge will drop this 1113 in the shredder and say try again.

The company comes back with .5% more pay than original and the judge approves it and gojets pilots will laugh at us. It will take at least 6 weeks for anything to be imposed.

At least GLA pilots can't laugh at us, right?

Not yet.

Even if it gets rejected, the company and the union continue to negotiate right? And the judge will tell both sides to play nice?

That would be the preferred outcome other than an agreement before the rejection. Honestly, I hope we get a judge with common sense that can see when the company is at a cost disadvantage against the other regionals and when they aren't. If that's the case, we might have a shot at keeping stuff like our health care and the four hour min day. If s/he is a judge that just listens to the company's "Woe is us" story, we're hosed.

We have the smartest guys working on this, but there is no chance in hell we will keep the min-day.

And to respond to an earlier post, I was on the Pinnacle MEC on Dec 8th, and while I think it was short-sighted to take a 60% raise in the face of bankruptcy, I think Sean Menke is a good guy.

Let's not forget that when we tried to re-negotiate contracts, Delta's response was not to talk to us outside of bankruptcy hearings. Make no mistake, we're in this position because that's where Delta WANTS us to be. It's the only way they can park more 50 seaters. If they had to re-negotiate the ASA with us, it would have cost them money. This way, they can send us through bankruptcy, re-do the ASA with us and come out squeaky clean on the other side. The fact that we lost our United flying in the process and are now back to being solely a DCI carrier is just a bonus.
So yes- Delta forced PNCL into bankruptcy by witholding monies due. Notice that part of the DIP Financing was the removal of the integration reimbursement costs and the 2011 rate reset. Make no mistake about it, Delta forced Menkes hand. They are the reason there are no Q400's come Sept 5.
Where have I heard that phrase before? Washington D.C. comes to mind...;)

Which is complete BS considering almost every one of our DCI competitors has it. Maybe we could at least get some kind of rig system to offset losing it. So, for the days you fly two legs and credit 3 hours, you at least make up for it when you get the days with three 3 hour sits two days later....

This company can't do anything right. 12-04 was awarded today, too bad they forgot all the IAD folks that are still holding Saab, they forgot all the guys who were awarded Q. They don't have anyone who submitted a simple base change during training.

It doesn't appear to be on Colganair.com yet.

Good point...haven't done that yet. But there still putting up memos on Colganair.com, like the one on 9/21 postponing 12/04.

I know the person that does the posting normally, is out of the office this week.

Colgan log ons work with flypinnacle.com

Well never mind. Looks like those guys are getting a 110 day paid vacation.

110 days paid vacation with flight bennies...I could think of worse gigs. Able to travel AND interview with other companies without having to worry about any sort of schedule interference.

I can also see the company strongly pushing the 12-04 LOA in court and saying the union is not bargaining on good faith. We all know its crap, I'm sure the judge won't exactly see it that way though.

Yea. Just realized the company is pretty smart and doesn't give a crap about this award. As soon as the 1113 stuff goes through, they'll throw this award out and put everyone in a class ASAP.

You think they would do that? If they get the contract thrown out in court I bet the company's next move to the guys waiting on a class date would be to not pay them anymore since they're not flying. I can already envision the memo "Monthly guarantee applies only to those pilots actively flying as reserve or lineholders. Those in training or waiting on class dates will be paid only perdiem." What's to stop them?

I doubt they would do that. But I do see them tossing out all bypass pay, and maybe making your new pay rate effective as soon as you start class.
