Air America Phone Interview

Received a call this morning... I have an interview this weekend. Interview (as stated before) to consist of a flight portion (the guy said it is nothing more than the usual check-out they would do for renters if they were renting the Air America aircraft plus some ER procedures etc... they basically just want to see your decision making process), written test, and oral interview. Sounds like a great opportunity and I'm happy to be one step closer. Good luck to all.

What day will you be there? Im flying in tomorrow and returning home friday night

I got the call a little while ago. Hopefully all goes well. Best of luck to those who are heading to DAB. Any idea what the written test will focus on?

I got the call as well! Either flying down Monday and interviewing Tuesday or the same days the following week. I had a trip planned right in the middle of it.

Congrats and good luck to all!

I received the "not interested" email as well. For those of you that got an interview/flight date, what were your hours (TT, Intrument, etc.) and general flying experience as well as any other things that you feel helped you get to the next step. Trying to figure out how to improve myself for next year.

I think the resume I sent them had a little less than this:
325TT, 185ME, 197Complex, 15Turbine, 90IFR, 95CxC, 20Night, 20 mountain.

I certainly don't have the highest total time, I think a lot of it was just based on my willingness (eagerness really) to travel and my history of doing such. And for having low time, my flight times are pretty solid where they are. I also made the guy laugh a couple times in the interview. If you can make someone laugh, without telling a joke, then it makes you memorable and gives them a positive memory of you. Not sure if this holds any weight (I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't) but it has always helped me in the past.
