Considering Ameriflight interview; could use some answers/input

Got a phone interview coming up with these guys sometime next week.. Anyone know the inside info? Typical stuff? Sheri said to set aside about an hour, which seems a bit longer than the phone interviews I remember.

I was given the choice between the Metro, BE-99 and PA-31. I was also told about new flying opening up in the East Coast. My Metro type rating helped open up these choices.
How recent was this? What are your times? In the email i got, i was told " we are also hiring into BE99, for qualified candidates (such as you). How realistic is that? I hope the business is really on the upswing with amflight, cargo had its hard times lately...

Just be yourself. She's good people and good at seeing through BS.

it's not technical, it's just to see if the company and you will pair up, and you are 50% of that decision.

Yeah, and cargo has been more steady lately than the regionals. Cargo is usually the last to be affected in a recession and the first to bounce back.

The only way we can pick up more metro flying is to add more aircraft. From what I hear we just won a bid for a contract starting in the fall which will require more planes. Then again I hear a lot of stuff. So far company actions seem in line with this one though. Tons of new Metro guys in the pipeline, just need the additional aircraft now...

New base is in the Northeast. Bid to follow soon. Some bases have a spare metro here and there so we'll be at max utilization for the aircraft in the other bases. I heard we were looking at acquiring "new" metros, but the US operators we were looking at who had them weren't even up to our own standards.

We also just had two CVG Sa227 Capt and one MIA Sa227 Capt bids open today.

Phone interview: July 20
Tech/Sim: July 30
Job Offer the next day.
Initially I got the BE99 and PA 31. But, after Sheri found out I had a Metro PIC type rating, she offered the Metro. Time are roughly 1400tt with turbine and previous 135 experience

Yeah, I was told that they got a new East Coast Pharmaceuticals contract...so I have a chance at staying in my hometown on the East coast thanks to that.

There are some in CVG that want MIA FYI. Then again seniority never really dictates anything here anymore.

It all depends on if those CVG pilots had standing bids in for MIA. My guess is they probably didn't or else the bid would not have been posted system wide.
