Impressive machine, but it was, what, 9 months ahead of the 190A3? Certainly, if you want to try to turn with a Spitfire, the Franz will do better than the Butcherbird, but the Future was all about BnZ. The 109s climb was incredible (the only way it could survive against the the big American iron later in the war), but it compressed like my wallet in a stripbar when it had to go down, which was its ultimate limitation.
Plus, all other things notwithstanding: The Mustang was pretty, the Thunderbolt was brutal, but the 190 was prettier than the Mustang and more brutal than the Thud. The ultimate piston fighter, bar none*. It looks mean sitting still. Flying it'll steal your girlfriend, do unspeakable things to her, and make her like it. All hail the FW190!
*Ok the Bearcat was at least as awesome, probably more, but it was largely plagarized from captured FWs, so it doesn't count.
