Hypothetical job offer:
Fly any aircraft you choose. WWI fighter, F-22, ultralight, helo, Spruce Goose, balloon, 172, whatever. You can only pick one. Pay is $200k/year. Two-year contract required, renewable if you choose. Domicile is anywhere you want. You have to work a minimum 40 hours/week, with at least 20 hours flying or sim time logged per week. You can do any kind of flying you want - instructing, firefighting, airline, military, even just tooling around the local traffic pattern in a U-2. But that means you have to tool around the local traffic pattern as a full-time job for two years. Wanna travel the world flying a VIP 707 Travolta-style? Gotta do it full-time for two years.
If you'd take the job, what would you choose?
Please don't try too hard to force reality into this hypothetical. For example, I'd fly an F-111 full-time out of Auckland doing scheduled cargo flights in NZ, Australia, and the South Pacific. No need to explain the numerous reasons why this could never be an actual job.
