I'm surprised nobody has posted anything on this. California Pacific Airlines is a new startup airline in North County San Diego and pending government approval will operate by the end of 2010 out of Carlsbad's Palomar Airport. They will be flying E170s and already have some on order. The CEO operated a successful charter airline for 17 years out of San Diego and Carlsbad (Air Resorts Airlines) and all of their management have a lot of airline experience.
I hope this airline takes off (no pun intended) and becomes successful. It'll be a great product for the large North County population that has to normally drive down to SAN in 1 hr of bumper-to-bumper traffic.
