CFI position , Seattle - please read the requirements

Wow, when I started reading through this thread half an hour ago I never thought it would end up being so entertaining. Could make it into a daytime TV show and call it Days of Our Lives-Seattle Flight School.

As far as the job posting...I am just below mins but wouldn't consider applying after what I just read. To the OP: I suggest rethinking your approach to forum use as a means to promote your flight school. Your posts reflect a general lack of professionalism and respect on your part and have been damaging to your business image IMO. A simple "please contact me personally about further inquiries about the position" would have sufficed. Also, slandering past employees and other business owners is better suited for a high school locker room than an industry forum. For future posts I would recommend keeping in mind the old adage "less is more."

you just started working there.. How about 10 year history working with Diane. I guess you were not there when Diane told a customer that she never heard of AcuWings and she has been on the field for 15 years.

Or how about not servicing us when we need a ground power. How come Bernie comes over when I call him directly but Diane refuses to service me.
How about the lies that we will be out of service 'this winter'.. For last 5 years she keeps telling people that.. Or how about her telling people 'I don't know where he finds the money. He must have some connections to shady people , or some connections to terrorists'.. These are the things that she said to people about me and my wife.

You enjoy Pro-Flight? Good for you.. I dare you mention us when she is present and see what kind of reaction you will get from her .. :)

Just an update, I couldn't verify any of what seattlepilot (bahamir) has said about Pro Flight by anyone.

In fact, here are some things I did find out and some answers because I am bored right now:

Define working with... Because if you mean directly employed, you were only there from August 2001 to May 2002. If you mean paying to get training, fuel and other services, I would call working with someone a stretch. You are more purchasing services and products from a company. Does this mean when I land somewhere and buy fuel I am working with them? Woo-hoo! Better update that resume.

Diane won't service you and Bernie will, simply because Diane is busy with many projects. We have a new FBO office being planned among other projects. Diane isn't sitting in her office all day wondering "gee golly, when will baha call so I can refuse him service". LOL

This is just ridiculous. I've never heard anyone ever say any of these things... Ever. Based on your post history of confrontation and bad-mouthing, I've surmised that you have very low credibility. Question: How many airplanes did you buy from Wings Aloft again? 2 or 3? I forgot. Since you mention both numbers in the same post a while back, I'm a little confused. Also, you may be getting heresay and word of mouth from others that you can't prove, but you yourself are accusing another company, in a public forum, of lying to customers about your operation. Which, if proven untrue, would itself constitute slander. Perhaps that's why you won't pursue it? Just sayin'...

We use the Jeppesen text and syllabus. My question to you is, how does one train two different types of power on stalls? I've only heard of one way to teach them. I can see if you were talking about power off stalls, where there is a choice between flap and no flap, but a power on stall is pretty straight forward. Pull back power. Let airspeed drop. Apply full power. Climb. Stall. Recover. Unless you invented the second way, I fail to see how this statement is legit.

Why can't you just run your business and promote it without having to bad-mouth other people and other businesses? Why can't you just post a job and be straight-forward about pay and details, or at least say something like "PM me for details"? Why do you you need to constantly bash former employees and employers?

No hard feelings. Just answering your questions and adding my own input. However I won't mention Acuwings to anyone ever again. maybe that's why you think Diane is telling people whatever it is you think she's telling them. Perhaps you did something to piss her off and she had enough?

I haven't badmouthed anyone , I actually complained about Diane ignoring us and spreading rumors about us. Did you catch that part in my post? Why don't you check that with Zach? Thanks a lot for reminding me bad days of employment at Pro-Flight. Since you know so much about me, why don't you include the fight that I have given for four years at this airport? Why don't you ask former employees of ProFlight how I worked on marketing strategies for them which went unnoticed.

I complained about bad employees, the chick who badmouthed me in here when she left saying 'My brother died'.. Why should I not?
This whole thread was blown out of proportion by a guy who claimed that we sold an airplane of our fleet , when it was a complete different one that we were exporting..

cessnaflyer, I haven't forgotten about you.. You claimed in here that I am using autoparts for my airplane. I invited you to prove that , you haven't been able to. If your former roommate is Aaron, he is one of my best instructors.

It is really easy to hide behind the screen name when me and my wife work unbeliable hours and try to come against all the odds like racism, (oh yeah it exists) , unfair competition practices, corruption and not to mention the heavily depressed economy.

I am not hiding behind any screen names, or anything like that.. My name is Bahadir Acuner , my office number is 425-254-9464.. I will be out for a month, but anyone can come and visit me.. IF you have anything bad to say about me, say it to my face.

If you are jumpseating in any of my planes, stop by and say hi..

Or was it because I was trying to stay respectful of your company and disclosing to you my intent to pay for training somewhere else (while not telling any of your customers)?

Or was it because I refused to teach "on the side" when your customers wanted to pay me around you?

You see Baha, its not racism or xenophobia that makes me dislike you, it's you and your "blame everyone else" attitude. It's your failure to accept responsibility for your attitude. It's the fact that you stole money from me by changing my training invoices after I told you I would go somewhere else - because you couldn't/didn't make time for me.

My point in this post was to encourage people to look elsewhere for a flight instructing job, rather than wasting their time applying to a school that pays so badly, and contributing to bringing down the industry as a whole. I'm more than a little surprised at what it's turned into. Your attitude here has probably achieved far more than my comments ever would, in terms of scaring away any instructor with a shred of professionalism. Personally I'd have been happier if you'd replied to my post proving me wrong, and offering a quality position at a suitable pay rate. Sadly this industry is filled with opportunistic trash.

I stole money from you? Wow Brian , this is really cute.. I still have the emails from you.. All I said was '....because of you , and people acting like you; you are ruining something that I put together .. Free check outs and free instruction from me'.. This was at the time when I was working 50 hrs / week at Boeing, giving you guys instructions and helping out mechanics with their work. I still keep the same schedule that I did for last 10 years..
Claiming I changed your flights and billed you for them is a really bad shot.
 
[modhat]Alright, enough already. This is directed at everyone and no one in general. The thread has gone from a posting about a position to a Tit-for-Tat between a few users. If a few users have problems with one and other, try the PM function. It's rather useful. The rest of the community doesn't need to see this useless banter about he said/she said.[/modhat]
