The flight crew doesn't appreciate you "mentioning something to them" infront of a public audience, either. If you'd like to say something to address the safety of the flight, grow some balls and talk to the crew first... but you didn't. Professional Standards should be the second to get involved.
You're welcome for the ride, BTW.
LOL if you denied me a ride - there'd be some 'splainin to do.
Anyhoo - just to clarify, of course I would not have said anything in front of pax. However, they've got a short overnight, typical of company ops. Based on my experiences, even with CRM, CA's egos at certain companies are very fragile things, and that wouldn't be the proper stroking method, to say, "hey, just FYI I think you were taxiing too fast". Most people around here think you're a giant if you say something to their face about safety.
Case in point: "speed" callout.... I've tried that a coupla times, and it's mostly senior guys that have the issue... they chuckle and pretty much say, yeah, you don't need to tell
me that. But we're supposed to do it.
Again - I wasn't referencing ANY airline, or ANY crew. I didn't even give a specific time. If you look at DLH inbounds, there are several evening flights. So.... this was merely meant as a heads up to, IMO, watch your speed on slick surfaces. Not calling anyone out.
PS. No requirement to say hi when I'm non-reving.... but I do anyways. So "thanks for the ride" (rolleyes) hahaha
