I will say this, however. I'm very curious as to how many remaining AA furloughees would actually come back. It's been a long time- unless whatever they've been doing since has imploded, I can't imagine seeing all of them pick up stakes to come to AA.
I'm with ya there. They've got, what, 1500 on furlough? Furlough date was sometime in 2001, so they've been gone 8+ years. Odds are good they're either at another airline or out altogether. If *I* was out altogether and doing well, I wouldn't come back to this rat race, but that's just me. If they're at another airline, unless it's a REALLY bad regional, why would they leave that kind of seniority and schedule to go sit reserve at American? I'm sure they'll have some come back, but I'd bet money that it's not a very large percentage. AA may be THE place to be if you get in as soon as they start hiring again.
