So I heard an email came down today saying they were going to hire 100? Anyone have that email? Also I was told the hiring pool is gone as well. All must re-apply with 1000TT being the min.... Thought the 1000TT but glad to see more might be able to apply..... Anyone have specifics for those whom might be looking?

I don't think they will be looking at people below the minimums. Between having too many qualified pilots on the street and the HR bill pending passage by congress I would expect those who do get hired to be very well qualified for the job.

Disclaimer: only my opinion.

got an email from recruitment asking me to update my times on airlineapps.com

I was in the hiring pool and did go to the jet course. (I called a few buddies that were there also and they got the same email...so we'll see what happens)

I have been eagerly awaiting this announcement. I actually completed my application on airlineapps.com yesterday, and I have an FO walking in my resume. Keeping my fingers crossed.

first one is free and I heard you can just sign-up again with a different email to get another free application. Haven't tried it though so don't know for sure.

You only have to pay for it if you apply to more than one airline.

Actually, you can still apply to more than one. All the fee does is sign you up for their "service" so you only fill the app out once. If you don't mind filling out the different apps each time, it's free.

Current airline pilots would have three years to get their ATP's. IF the bills even passes.

What would anyone guess would be the competitive tt?

It doesn't matter as long as you meet mins. I can definately tell you though that AE is very anal on background records. I never had anything but they were up front with us that if we had ANY checkride failures or DUIs or any kind of negative things the last 5 years they would not interview you. It could be a good gig but understand that if you go to eagle you will be stuck there for 7 to 8 years before a very junior upgrade. Good luck its a good place to be stuck though I suppose but I cant imagine being a 6 year FO making poverty wages.
