Pubnat 5/6

propstrike, I had to get another EKG done by a private cardiologist...I guess I was anxious at the PEPC and HR was high....well, did my EKG, it was normal, faxed it in as requested.....received no confirmation from anyone.....I just kept calling and calling and calling......don't let anyone screw it up for you.....They almost sent me home from the pepc without the proper documentation....heck they almost sent me home from the PEPC with my PERSONAL FILE! Just call, but don't worry if you don't get anything....if they are missing something from you, you'll get a notice......No news is good news....BTW, I was cleared medical. Don't worry bro, take it easy, and just be prepared to WAIT.

Hey guys, is the 7110 that you receive in the Academy digital or paper? I got a price quote for printing it off in a notebook form: 170 BUCKS!!!!! Jeesh...I have heard the academy gives it to you in PDF format....no way that will work for me..any other ideas? Do they sell the Publication anywhere?

I'm in my second week of Basics and I haven't seen anything on the 10.65. I asked one of the instructors about it, and he said that you just read it off the FAA's website. I also checked the FAA Bookstore out here, and didn't see it on the shelf or anything. :dunno:

You'll for sure get one when you get to your facility. It will come wrapped in plastic and you have to find a binder to put it in. You'll also have to go through it pulling out pages and putting in new ones which have been changed (veryyy annoying to do). I had to do this for 3 revisions.
 
hey i know its a little late but i talked to a hr person last monday. i found out i am fully cleared to get my fol and that i should get it either this week or next, i know its just hoping but i just thought it might lift the spirits around here if we are all in the same boat...

I'm going to Houston Center as well. Did you go traditional route or PEPC? I was at the ATL PEPC, but I think getting the FOL this soon is a bit optimistic.
 
I know this doesn't belong in this thread, but I am hooked on a TV series called Ice Road Truckers....it brings out my inner redneck. Can anyone give a witness???

I watch it every once in a while when nothing else is on. The chick that's on there had her truck break down on the ice when she had a passenger in the cab... she was carrying the passenger because she couldn't fly out because of a recent volcanic eruption. what a crappy couple days for that lady. volcano erupts...cant fly home...have to drive home for hours with a trucker over ice(while listening to techno)...truck breaks down...no one drives by for over an hour...it starts getting cold....someone finally drives by to help...get the part replaced a couple hours later...still really cold...still have a long drive to your destination....FML lol.

I went to the chicago pepc...I was really really shocked as well. I guess that news was better then my clearances not being in

Dammit, got an email today about my medical...high blood pressure...I think it was because of my nerves/diet leading up to the PEPC, but then I took my BP with an automatic home cuff and it is high, hopefully just because I'm stressed about this email. If this holds me up I dunno what I am going to do. Has anyone gotten a waiver for high BP, in older posts the flight surgeon said he thought their wasn't any exceptions for high BP

Just got some info from my HR rep.....If you are Terminal and seeking a class date, the schedules for the academy are being revised, and wont be available until mid Sept. So, if you haven't heard anything by the end of September.....it is advised that you call. Just a heads up from the desk of E.C.
