Pubnat 5/6

Just got an e-mail for Ohio. That, plus they want me to interview at CAK. It looks like I'll be doing the traditional route, at least for now.

Congrats! Did you literally just get the email? Or you got it earlier, but didnt respond till now?

This is cutting into my studying time for finals though! Ahhhhhh....

The worst part about it, it's my aviation classes, so each time i go to put my head in the book and read some stuff about planning a VFR flight i come back here and check my email!:laff:
 
Sweet. My ASAP page changed today. So much for being hopeful, that really got me somewhere, lol. BLAH. Just basically said some other bum got the position, same as the one above. Unreal. Well, guess I'll be back in the same boat in July.

Keep at it. Mine changed today too, but im trying to figure out those that are getting emails today whether or not theres have changed. From my understanding, at least one persons has changed, but they were sent an email today?

My ASAP has not changed, nor have I received an E-mail....Is there still hope? Fingers are still crossed, maybe another prayer is in order tonight!
 
Based on the replies of others I would say that is a good sign. Good luck! Sounds like ASAP was updated all at once.

Shoot, mine is updated with the "someone else got it" type thing, but shoot a prayer my way. I dont pray, but i wont be upset if one comes my way!:buck:

For the fact that you would even ask this question, I get the sense that you would probably go ahead and do what you want, but I would repeat what has already been said: take the job and do NOT ask to change at the PEPC. This process is only going to get more and more competitive as it goes a long and I really doubt they will be willing to negotiate with you. You dont want it? Someone else will. My advice if the facility is in a bad area -- commute to/from a better one. As a wise person once said, dont look a gift horse in the mouth. lol.
 
So, it's the end of the day, my Pubnat6 still says I am being considered, and people got emails today (but I was not one). Guess I should be optimistic.
 
My hotmail says the e-mail came in just before 5PM. I had checked my asap a couple times today and had not received the no go message despite alot of them being out for both pubnats. I would gather if you don't have the kiss of death asap message(s), your e-mail is probably coming. I was pretty much in the limbo status like many still are. For those who applied to both pubnats, I imagine it is possible to be selected as long as they both don't give you the kiss of death, since you can only be selected on one. The FAA said it would take awhile, so be patient ya'll still in limbo.

Also, the PEPC is full, so you will go traditional less something changes.
