PUBNAT3

Everyone that hasn't gotten an email yet needs to Relax. Thursday of last week the first few people were getting them and everyone was saying "here's to monday" and middle of the day monday people are writing themselves off! I know the process sucks and it is stressful but it's only Tuesday. Give it at least til the end of the week before you let the panic set in. (sorry it had to be said)

This stinks!

:hiya:This is my deal: I scored an 84 and thought maybe that is y I'm not getting selected. I called the HR # to seek information about retaking the AT-SAT. I also asked when we should expect hiring letters to stop being recieved for pubnat 3 and 4. The lady then replied "letters are only being sent to people being hired." When I told her I understood that but had applied to Pub 3 and 4 - She basically put a knife in my heart and said "there is no way you will get a letter with a score that low." <--jerk I'm peeved. :mad: 1.) I know more than two people who have gone through OKC with lower scores than me with no military EXP. 2.) I also don't understand why I would be put on a referal list and asked for geo prefs if I am not eligible. 3.) She never even looked up my information. Anyhow I'm pretty bummed about it. Does anyone think that this lady may have just been having a bad day and that i might still have hope? :banghead:

What an identity crisis. I always thought of myself as a PUBNAT3 gal, but I got picked up for a PUBNAT4 geographic preference.

Sounds like the same person i spoke to! She checked my information in like 1 millisecond supposedly.

She sounded like she was having a bad day, agreed!

Now, on to your questions, it doesnt seem like anyone from PUBNAT2 were picked up with a qualified score, it seemed to be all Well Qualified. I suggest keep applying, and try for really desperate areas (lousiana, alaska, hawaii).

There is a way to conduct yourself, and by her saying "there is no way you will get a letter with a score that low" is just plain rude. Theres ways of approaching it such as "usually, scores have to be in the well qualified section to be further considered."

Er...i hope everything works out for ya! Keep ya head up!:rawk:

The person you spoke to and their lack of tact is obvious. That being said, there is a person on stuck mic who got a 73 and he was told that "there are not enough positions opened to offer spots to the wq. so they probably wont need to go to the qualified group." That persons screename is airbrett, I think. There may not be a chance for q this go round. We will see.

That is the best attitude to have. :) I saw that guy on stuck mic talk about protesting the pepc because he was not invited. I am sure he was just kidding, but there is no need to be bitter. NONE of us are guranteed spots. If you are in a position to retake the test, do it. Those like me, who are nearing 31, this is the last hope.lol.

I just wanted to say congrats myself to those who have received their e-mails! For those who haven't yet or have had to wait this long I totally understand your pain. I was one of the last to receive my test score. To all of those who will not be receiving PEPC invites I truly wish you the best of luck and hope you do eventually get picked up.

Yep, I agree too (me being a "Q" only too). I think that is true about how many positions they have open for that particular Pubnat. If they need more controllers they will hire from "WQ" and "Q". However, this is my 2nd pubnat and I still haven't recieved an email.... So, I'm planning on re-taking the AT-SAT come May 2009. They told me I have to wait 1 Year to retake it.

I also am going on 31 (well, in a few years), I'm 27, but I really don't want to wait until I'm 30 to get picked up.

So, I will be re-taking it if I don't make this one, because I missed Pubnat 4-6. I did apply for Pubnat7, but that is pretty far out in the future.

(AT-SAT 78%).
