PUBNAT3

I'm new to this although I've been reading for a while. I just wanted to let everyone know I got choosen for Gulfport, Mississippi yesterday. Good luck to everybody else waiting.

My name is ****** and I am your Human Resource Specialist in the Human Resource Management Division, Aviation Careers Division in Oklahoma City for the Federal Aviation Administration. We manage the centralized hiring process for air traffic controllers.

You have been identified for an interview for a terminal air traffic control position. You will be contacted by a representative of the Air Traffic Organization responsible for the interview process around the end of February 2009 to schedule an interview or to invite you to attend one
of our Preemployment Processing Centers.

As the Human Resource Specialist responsible for hiring you, it is imperative all communication regarding the hiring process (accepting or declining the position, clearances, class dates, etc.) be conducted with me. This will help us ensure we have accurate information from you during the hiring process and allow us to schedule you to attend the FAA Academy at the earliest possible date.

Attached are forms which need to be filled out and faxed to this office within 14 days. (1) Applicant Contact Information form; and (2) FAA Form 3300-9, Record of Family Relationship. Please fax these documents to me at 405-****** OR SCAN AND EMAIL THEM DIRECTLY TO ME. Note: Emailing them directly to me ensures readily receipt of your documents.) Once you complete your interview and, if you are recommended for hire, you will receive a tentative job offer which
will include the facility you have been assigned.

NOTE: We are not authorized to release the facility you have been assigned so you will need to wait until you receive the tentative job offer.

If you are not interested in an air traffic controller position, please let me know immediately.

If you have any questions, you may call me at 405-***or email ***or******or email at **

I recieved this at 10:05 AM today, Tuesday, Feb. 3.

It says Terminal only.

I preferenced VA terminal & enroutey- PCT, IAD, ZDC.

The Dulles guy on here yesterday recieved a PEPC invite.

???? I'm filling out the forms now ????

Did anyone else get this e-mail?

ya i got it this morning.

the person who e-mailed it to you is your one and only HR rep that you can call every single day to ask extremely obvious questions.

basically he/she will be with you until the end.

but all it's saying is to fill out the 2 forms and reply asap.

i think we get one more e-mail about what time we have to be at the PEPC... or at least i hope so cuz i dunno when to be there.

ya i got it this morning.

CONGRATS!

So- you and I are now back in the waiting game.

I really have to wonder why there are two different processes - this "selected for interview - where they don't tell you the facility- or the PEPC invite where they tell you where you have been selected to go.

Either way- this is a good thing.
Could you please keep me posted on where you hear something back. Did you already fill out the forms and return?

im confused by your situation...

you have a PEPC invite and confirmation right?

this e-mail seems like it's for those that are about to go to thier PEPC.

NEGATIVE.

I did not recieve a PEPC invite or confirmation.

The e-mail I recieved today was the first contact.

Is something not right here?

FYI, I just called Aviation Careers and they told me I was selected for ZBW. I *haven't* received an email yet, though.

This waiting game is CRAZY!!!

Did your HR's name begin with an E? I'm just wondering if they assign states or multiple states to the same HR person.

Yeah I just talked to someone who confirmed the center I was selected for.

She said they're way behind and that I might not even get an e-mail in time for NY PEPC and that they might not even be all done by the end of the week, but that they're trying.

Honu what state were you selected in? I'm surprised you got that information out of them.

Hi everyone. Long time lurker but 1st post! I am in the boat with all the people that have been waiting! It's killing me! I just spoke with "Chris" at ACD and he said that it could be up to 2 weeks before all are notified! I was a controller in the Air Force and got a 95 on my AT-SAT. I put down both enroute and terminal and I requested Northern VA and Chicago on my geo pref....so....I am anxiously waiting! Chris also said that there is another PUBNAT coming out the end of this month...

Good Luck to everyone!

What I got this morning (pasted below) was different than what other people got.

I called one of the contacts on my e-mail and was told that I should be recieving an e-mail soon to schedule the PEPC.

(Seems like things were done backwards and further reiterates the fact that they are slammed and the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing)

Just thought I would update folks who have gotten this similar e-mail, with no PEPC dates or facility.

Best of luck and stay patient people.

Some bad news folks - the New England list is extremely limited. Mass only had 2 or 3 people picked stated wide, a handful at boston tracon in NH and a handful in Bangor, Maine.

That's it. I know you will all want to know where I heard that from, but I need to be respectful and not share. I didn't ask if this was just a terminal list (I picked Terminal only) or a center list, but I do know this person only had the New England list (and my name wasn't on it :().

Best of luck to everyone that got selected. Hopefully I'll be joining you in the next one.

-Joe

This is true ... it seemed like e-mails in Virginia have already gone out, by the looks of this forum - but you can bet I will be checking my e-mail compulsively still for the next month
