It could be this week. Supposedly the referral list comes out before the panels, but the same people posting this think fac reps are at the panels. Oh well. It'll probably be a while... Lets keep our spirits up. We are way ahead of PubNAt 7

I'm not saying it won't happen, but I'd be surprised if it comes out any time before January.

PUBNAT1 panels started on 6/9, they saw a referral list on 6/6.
PUBNAT2 panels started on 9/8, and they saw the list on that same day, 9/8.
 
that would be a pretty cool christmas present (to get referral list right before chrsitmas) I would be happy!!! I am going where ever the first PEPC is idc if it is Alaska or California I'm there. That flight will be expensive ill have to refi my house to do it, only kidding but the rates are super low right now today when I went to the bank they went down to 4.5 fixed for 30 yrs just in case anyone does need to refi.

Hopefully they stay low so that way when I get settled in wherever I'm moving to I can get a new house. I was lucky enough to sell my house 6 months ago I'm renting right now I am waiting to see if this follows threw I hope everyone on this posts makes it and I see you in OK. My wife is graduating college next semester its alot of stuff happening at once.

What is everyone elses situation does anyone else really want to be in florida? I noticed there was a thread about florida geo prefs.

Wow you are really lucky that you got your house off your hands. It will make relocating a lot easier and simplify the OKC stuff.
I am totally with you at the very first PEPC date offered and available, if I am on the referral list. I may not be... I only put one facility, but we'll see.

Also for all those who like a little inside dirt...
I heard that the FAA suspects lots of employees eligible for retirement will be leaving on January 4, 2009. The reason your ask... they will be able to cash overtime hours (up to 200 or maybe he said 400-either way- Ballin'!) and get their first retirement check Feb. 1st.

Good for us, potentially dangerous sky.

I dunno about that. Their positions had to be filled anyway because of their retirement elligibility. I hope the FAA finds some way to sweaten the deal for existing controllers to stay round a while. People like us are going to rely on their experience and teaching in order to be effective controllers. I don't think this will benefit applicants at all. Quite the opposite.
 
There will be jobs for us... and I am sure there will be plenty of people to train. I think with Obama stepping up in January, lots of the potential retirees will stay with the hope that they get the green book back prior to retirement.

Would any one happen to know the chances of me getting this job with a 84.5? keep in mind that I have been activated for about 400 days while in the guard (180 days min to qual) so I get that vet pref.


I know this was a random question but I figured id ask.
 
I don't know how successful folks with Qualified scores have been in the past. It really just boils down to location need. But anyone with a WQ score will probably be picked up first, unfortunately.

ive been on this forum since the beginning of PUBNAT1, and i have only seen 1 person with a qualified score get picked up for ZME (Memphis Center). At this point in the hiring i believe it is very doubtful that a qualified person will get picked up (especially for Terminal Only). but as the months/years go on, and the they start moving to the qualified lists after all the WQ are hired, the qualified people should all start getting picked up.
 
I have been under the impression that WQ with vet prefs get pick up first, qual with vet pref after followed by WQ ect ect ect.

It's a point system. Your application combined with your test score is given a total score. Then your vet pref points are added to that. That is how they are ranked on the referral lists.
