Kansas City PEPC

Appointment: 11/18/08 Tues
Appointment Time: 8:00:00 AM

Anyone else this early? I have a reserved car, but would love to save some funds/share? The hotel is a 22 minute walk, according to Google maps. Not TOO bad, I suppose...Up hill, in the snow, through a rain forest...

I'm actually glad my rival is starting to play well. To bad we suck now when yall are good. I'm more excited about the SEC Champ game now and I am even going to the Iron Bowl:D

It's good to know there are some fans to talk football with at ZTL. Here's to many years of college football rival discussions.:crazy:
 
Just wondering if anybody attending the PEPC next week is going to be flying in on the 18th around 3pm because I'm looking to share a ride downtown. Also if anybody is interested in meeting up before or after the interview to share our experiences or maybe just have some company exploring downtown Kansas City. Couldn't agree more. I am going to be at the game as well if my plans can hold up. Can't wait! That game makes me very nervous. If Bama is undefeated going into the Iron Bowl, that is a recipe for an upset of epic proportions. I am so glad that I got a shot at a facility in SEC country....
 
Back on topic...................... :panic:

I am also staying at the Hyatt but am going to take a cab to the PEPC. I was planning on renting a car and looking for parking and the whole 9 but I decided to go much more simple. I'm doing super shuttle to the hotel, and a cab to the PEPC. Cab back to the airport. Probably will cost me a little more but will be much easier.

Heck yeah! I think all of us are looking forward to getting this thing done...The sad thing will be more waiting afterwards. I really wonder how the interview process is going to pan out. Has everyone completed the E-Quip and released it?

I'm renting a car, I'm not a fan of cabs/shuttles/buses. also I'm 25 so it's cheaper now ;)

I am going to release it today....just waiting...looking it over...rechecking it...and looking it over some more..... I don't want anything slowing me down.......

I hear you, I am going to finalize everything by Friday and release mine...I want to make sure I have been as thorough as possible.
 
I haven't really been on this board in the past month. I got a Nov. 17th PEPC at 10am, and I just want to see if I'm missing anything. So far I've

  • Been scheduled
  • Sent in my college transcripts
  • Signed and emailed a copy of DOT form 1632 or whatever
  • Completed e-Qip and released it without emailing my forms at the end
  • Received and completed that medical form but didn't email it

Am I missing anything here?

anyone goin to the pepc on the 20th or 21st.....we all gettin together to get food? i fly in on the 20th with LISRAREF, and our interview's are the 21st...
 
Hey everybody, I've been reading the posts on this forum but just registered to post. Thought I'd throw out a newbie last minute gesture in case anyone still needs a hand.

I'm arriving at KMCI at 7:00PM on Monday, 11/17 with a Chevy Cobalt (or similar) rental car, and staying at the Comfort Inn & Suites that's like 0.2 miles from the PEPC address. My PEPC interview is 9:00AM Tuesday and I'm hoping to be heading to the airport in time to make a 6:40PM outbound flight Tuesday night.

If anyone needs any rides from the airport to the downtown area Monday night after 7:00PM or back to the airport Tuesday afternoon (I plan on driving to the airport as soon as I'm finished with PEPC obligations), let me know, I'm glad to help.
 
I am kind of in the same boat as Panther. I am sitting in the airport as I type. Waiting for the flight to Kansas City. I should have a 4 pax car when I get there (approx 1030) so if someone needs a ride from the airport to a hotel I will do what I can. Also, Panther, since you are going to be in town that night how about you join us if we get together. We might be able to fill you in on anything you should know for your go at the PEPC. Oh, and I too am staying at the Comfort Inn. I will check back to this forum when I get to the room. Till then good travels to everyone and it will be interesting to meet you all.
