Kansas City PEPC

Hey guys, just buzzing in.

As a Kansas City native, if any of you find yourselves in a disaster, please send me a PM, I'm more than willing to help (scary bus pictures excluded, see pages 9-10) with any problems, as long as they don't interfere with my 11/21 10:00 PEPC :)

Best of luck to you guys, PLEASE post any helpful info (especially if Dr.Gilberds is the flight doc, used to work for him) about the PEPC's!

AND, if anyone happens to see "Wanda"-can't post the last name... (a rather short, quick, simply awesomely-witted lady involved with the drug screens), please giver her a smooch and tell her it's from me, she first introduced me to this career path.

:laff:

Hubert, I'd be glad to join you guys Monday night, I'll be going down the icy main stretch through downtown KC attempting to make my rental 4-banger pop a wheelie! I shouldn't be hard to miss..Look out for an attempted PM from me if I can figure out how.

Random question that I'm not sure anyone has ever posed before - Are the physical exams processed as far as issuing each PEPC applicant an FAA medical certificate on the spot? Even if - cross your fingers - a person was rejected for the ATC position at the PEPC, it is a "free" renewal of your FAA medical that usually costs ~$100 with any local AME.

Good Luck To Everyone Going Tomorrow....We All Expect Play By Play Updates :) and A Full Description........ Luckily I Go Friday So I Get To See Everyone's Mistakes :-p and the PEPC can fix theirs by trial and error so maybe I can get out early :). Good Luck and I look forward to see your posts...

Think of everything you might possibly need and then bring any of the paperwork associated with that. I figured I am paying to come out here so I don't want to screw it up. I brought everything I could think of in addition to the normal stuff we had to print up from them. I say bring it all!

I'm brining medical records, since I have a minor medical condition that is well controlled. This way, it will save a step of them asking my doctor to submit the records. I don't anticipate any problems with it, it's a fairly common condition and the medication is approved.

Yeah, thankfully it's supposed to be nice all week. I've seen more than one post from people who intend to walk quite a distance :)

so another applicant and i went down to scope things out yesterday. if you get lost, look for the biggest and newest building just south of I-35 and the Oak St. (or Missouri Highway 9) exit. the thing is huge! neither one of us had ever noticed it before. you guys walking from the hyatt will have about a 1/2 mile walk. shouldn't be an issue. there are a few parking garages around. there is one about a block to the west. for those of you arriving super early, there is a lot directly to the southwest of the building for $4/day. i would be willing to bet that lot will fill up quickly. from what we saw, the $15 lot was directly under the building with what looks like an east side entrance. there are a couple of lots 2 blocks east, but that wouldn't be my first choice. you step into a totally different world one block to the east. any other questions, send me a message and i will give you a different way to get ahold of me.

Are you saying us New Yorkers should look for the tiny looking building? What you trying to say about NY.....

I think he's sayin that we're awesome. NY'ers are definitely the coolest people ever. Haha

If you're cool, then I'm cool too... I know I'm in NJ but I live much closer to Manhattan and its big buildings than you do (assuming you're not lying about Centereach ;))... so I want to be cool too :panic:

Why are New Yorkers always so upset?

Because the light at the end of the tunnel is New Jersey!

Sorry, I always liked that joke.
