Great post. I think it is great to share these memories with everyone and see how we have all progressed. Just know that being a professional pilot is not just about flying jets. Be a professional no matter what you are flying. Take care, fly safe, and enjoy.

I started flying in 1996 and will save everyone from the Cessna, Cherokee, and Seminole shots. Below is what I have been flying since being a professional pilot not counting being a CFI.

Boy that 300 has a beautiful front office. Is that Primus Epic?

Who gives a rat's rear end about the damn 'front office'?!?!?!? Have you seen the 'rear office' workers (flight attendants) FSIflyer has?

Damn pilots! :whatever:

:p :)

It is a Pro Collins 21 system. It is nice but only when it works. The plane is great all around but again...only when it works. Our maint guys are still working out alot of bugs in the thing.

As for the FA's...yes they are smoking hot. If I told you where we recruit many of them from you wont believe me or you will think its morally wrong so I will keep my mouth shut. All I can say is aside from the rediculous working schedule of forever on and never off I love this job. In reality I'm doing about a 40 on 20 off right now but got two type ratings out of it which is not to bad.

Career progression? What's that? Mine's a little backwards these days. :D

Started in this (Cessna 172):

Then this (Piper Seminole):

Go go gadget furlough letter!

(Though, I am looking forward to the 402 :D)

eh the 145 is scooter trash anyway. Hope you're having fun in the 402 -- a man's airplane. ;)

I didn't take this photo -- but it's cool nonetheless. It was taken from a Learjet 45 at FL510. The photographer calls it, "Re-Entry"

How did I miss this thread...fantastic!

My absolute favorite of all time...since I was a little boy...till I flew it... and then after (and even today) -- the one I look back most fondly on as if she was my first true love... was the Douglas Racer. The DC9. (sometimes affectionately called the Romulan War Vessel in reference to the aqua-green color of the cockpit).

I miss her desperately.

I've heard that from so many 9drivers over the years-that it was by leaps and bound their favorite...I only flew the sim version, and not the actual metal, but it was a blast!:rawk:

I still say the Bandit has a nice looking cockpit. I remember going to school on the J31 and being pretty jealous of the Bandit guys.

Ed that's a Cheyenne, not a Chieftain! :)

Chieftain's have TIO-540-J2B's on em, Cheyenne's have PT-6's. The lack of starter switches on the overhead panel, the small, round dials on the engine instruments and strange annunciator panel give it away.
