It isn't. It's trying to stop the bleeding long enough for us to negotiate some CPAs that aren't dreadful. With what I'm hearing so far, I'm undecided. We deserve better, but our seniority list is so senior/top heavy, it'll be hard to squeeze more blood out of this turnip. So far, I'm just failing to see how this will "return us to profitability." Someone please explain.
I think it will pass. Morale is still really low and until we (LASA and/or LXJT) get some legitimate long term CPAs and new a/c neither side will trust SKYW
If passed, any guesses as to when this may take effect? Currently considering XJT...
I assum voting will be the same time frame on both sides.
Voting starts today and goes through the 17th (I think). I imagine if yes implementation not long after.
ERJ(LXJT) or CRJ(LASA)?If passed, any guesses as to when this may take effect? Currently considering XJT...
ERJ(LXJT) or CRJ(LASA)?
That's pretty junior, you should have no problem getting it.ERJ if I can get it... hoping for EWR.

If you make the choice to come here let me know. Also, as for ERJ vs CRJ, they let me pick when I got hired.
I am obviously not an expert on the ASA contract, but off the top of my head they sit airport standby for 8 hours and get paid for 4 hours. On the ERJ we sit 4 and get paid 4. I really don't know many other details, and to be honest I'm on my first cup of coffee so as this starts to work the others may come to me as well. Either way you get a good contract, I'm sure they have some things that are better than ours(I think they have hybrid lines now). Maybe @Blackhawk could help out with that.I've heard that the ERJ contract was a bit better. What are some of the differences?
Agreed. Living in base has made this job amazing, before I was commuting to reserve. For 10 months the commute was on our metal, then Mesa and SKYW took over. Fortunately the SKYW connection helped, but the last two months I was month I almost commuted on AA exclusively. What I have told pilots coming here is to look at based first and foremost. As a junior pilot the other stuff will be a wash if you live in domicile or have an easy commute on out metal.
