In my experience if you don't have the 1000 TPIC when you speak with the recruiters, you all but get thrown out of the joint.

That's been my experience with them as well. The recruiter still smiled, nodded and asked some questions, but at the end it was painfully obvious I didn't have a chance. He said "uh-huh, well it all looks good. Come back and talk to us when you have that 1000!" Next!
If they do end up dropping the mins down to 500TPIC then I'll come back for round 2, but for now I'll sit this one out and let those that meet the current minimums have their shot, as there's only 300 spots available.
