WN career fair 9/24

No. The mechanism was removed after they were delivered. It was considered a cost. Thankfully some of that mindset seems to be changing.

They'll be gone on 10/1 and all of the NGs have auto throttles and autobrakes. They are lacking some of the bells and whistles that the other carriers offer, but they are at least using the equipment the airplanes are delivered with.

The old steam gauges aren't going to be around much longer in the 1st world 121 aviation world. I'm glad I got the chance to fly the old classic 737's. A bit of real piloting never hurt me. :)

Slightly off topic question...

Do all 73's not have the 50-40-30-20-10 call when landing? I have sat in the jump for both UA and AS and have noticed only a minimums call when baro mins are set. Not a huge deal, but I feel that the cadence is very helpful in aiding a smooth touchdown on the Eeze-Jet.
