Wingletted 767...

HA and SU are going to look amazing with the winglets once they get them!

Also is the 763 production still open? Or did Boeing shut it down?

Still open, last I heard. But, I don't think that there are any orders. They may be keeping the line open so they can make 767 airborne refueling tankers.

I just saw that Delta bird here in HNL. I kept second guessing myself cause I thought it was a 757....something just didn't look right, had to get up close to it.

This one was at ADS a few days ago. What was interesting was not only the winglets but also the mixers on the Speys for noise footprint.

I don't know if the sight of those god forsaken "30' winglets" will ever grow on me :whatever:! Maybe they will have a change of strategy and remove them once the recession ebbs and the economy returns to "normal" - including a downturn in fuel prices :laff: ! I can only assume that the airlines outfitting their 767 fleet with these incongruous bull horns are realizing tremendous savings in fuel consumption!

I saw that 192, 1610, and 1611 (seen them all in person... I'm not one of those that tracks the ship numbers going in and out of the shop :) )have already been outfitted with the winglets. I parked a jet at the TOC last week and got to see 192 in the paint shop...she looks nice in the new colors with the winglets.
