Will the public pay for experience?

The last several times I have had to travel on paid ticket, SWA and Airtran were significantly cheaper than the RJ flight and I received the usualy excellent service.

........... what percentage of the flying public really cares about the airplane and who is flying it..........

As you are acutely aware, Calcapt, I always will choose the most expensive fare as long as I get to kiss you on the stopover.........................

And higher fares never guarantee a smooth landing............. 'eh?
