I'd put my Mom (I don't have, and do not want, kids, which makes the traditional test irrelevant) on your airplane anytime.
 
I’m fairly certain that Pat has a good idea of hours vs. experience. Just sayin.

I literally work with a guy who was Jacque Cousteau's personal pilot briefly in the 80's, he's done the most badass things in airplanes and he's also the least sure of his experience. It's crazy.

6,000hrs isn't "a lot" even if you may have good experience...
 
Honestly when I was asked this question I gave the answer virtually no one gives. I said “because I believe I am a good pilot.” I then went on to briefly summarize what I felt were my strengths as a pilot, as an employee, and as an addition to their company. It was asked at the end of the interview so I touched on a few things that were brought up earlier in the conversation. It was an excellent chance for me to summarize, highlight, and refine/reword my strengths on my own terms to round out the interview. The answer went over well I felt.
