Why not the airlines!?!?!?!?

As far as I'm concerned, unless you hit the Holy Grail 91/135 gig, it's just a time builder for something other than a regional. Pay/Benefits/QOL as a whole have far outstripped anything I or any of my 135/91 co-workers have ever achieved per seat.

I had my fair share of 91 and 135 jobs and Skywest has most of them beat already. Maybe it's just a honeymoon thing but so far so good.

Yeah, I'm just not feeling the indignation over this one. Who cares? He likes his job and is enjoying life. So he takes his drone with him on trips...I personally take my laptop to game with AND a 3ds and I've seen pilots with xboxes, Play Stations, guitars. None of those things should make one cringe more than the others.

Pilots are weird. We are OK if people are happy with their lives. Heck we can even talk about it. The second you vlog it? DOOOOOM

Video is maybe a bit over the top,but if the QOL is what works for him and his family, more power to him.....and he doesn't have to wear a hat.

There's some really good 91/135 gigs out there. I know a few people at them. But I could never crack that nut.

Nor I. But the more I think about it the more the good 91/135 jobs seemed like someone was putting on a front.

They are out there... I was lucky to somehow find my way into one a few years ago. But they are few and far between, unfortunately.

I can't wait to see his "honeymoon wore off, here's why I went to Republic."

I went to college with a guy who that EXACT same thing happened to. He was a tool so I don't bad that he's on probation at RP while all his friends are at majors.

It's a relative good though, there really is no such thing as the holy grail 91 gig where your schedule, pay, QOL, benefits, retirement, management and aircraft are all drastically above standard.

All, literally all the holy grail flight departments in the Bay Area turned out to be almost undesirable once you found out the nitty gritty. Not saying 121 is the holy grail by any stretch but I find my 121 carrier to be superior to every 135 gig I've owned.

I'm also vaguely familiar with Jet Select, they under pay, and overwork just like everyone else does. They also require initial and recurrent contracts. I'm super glad the guy is happy but wearing aviatiors indoors and telling everyone how awesome you are isn't very convincing.

Haha yep!

My two favorite quotes are "I can bring my drone with me" and "passengers took all their food, guess we're not eating today, FBO cookies it is!"

I just about lost it when the crew meals didn't arrive LMAO
