which regional would you choose?

Pick a place with good pilot groupies so your time in the "get in, get out" phase of your career won't be so bad. Go on Match.com, Plenty of Fish, Asian Friend Finder etc. and scout the local talent in the bases of your proposed regional airline. Make your choice based on that. I'd say FarmersOnly.com but their TV commercial says it's for farmers only. Those chicks hanging out in the hotel bars don't know what the shoulder stripes mean, right?

It's true you guys all pick up women in hotel bars on your overnights, right?

Or has my dream done died?

NOW WAIT A MINUTE...

There are dozens of great folks on here who have wanted to 'pay their dues and get out' of the regionals for close to a decade on here. Can you explain to them why this 'deal' hasn't worked for them?
I'm not 121 yet, but I know several people who ended up being at the regionals waay longer than they anticipated, or decided to get out the industry all together. I didn't say it always worked out that way unfortunately. I'm just simply saying it's meant to be a steeping stone.

How was the shoulder room in the EMB? I flew the bro and it wasn't at all comfortable, even for the short legs we were flying. I'll be in the 145 coming up here soon though.

As for the original post, I'd vote TSA, Compass or PSA. The regionals suck, do your time, don't be a jerk, and get out most ricky-tick to somewhere the name on the side matches the name on your pay checks.
ORLY. ;)

It's better. It's not great. None of them are new and shiny anymore, so the seat cushions are probably equally lousy. I thought it was more comfortable up front, there's definitely SOME more room, but you're still going to be hurting after about two hours.

Hrmm de frmm.

Thank you sir, I've been wondering how it stacked up space-wise. It has been amusing thus far because for us CRJ types the added auto functions make it more "flaps up, give pilot monkey a banana" but for the 170 guys in class they're wondering why we have to do so much work.

Bork bork!

You'll see plenty of Brasilia in the thing, in my view, assuming you didn't flush it all during your brief stint on the Moulson Jet. The difference was, on the -120, you as FO were the automation.

Since I don't keep track of all this.... how bad does Republic look these days?

Depends on who you talk to. Our fleet numbers currently show the same over the next 2 years, as we get rid of 145s and Q400s and receive E175s. We're losing about 20 pilots a month right now. We are also contenders for the Cancellation World Champion.

Really? Going back on 1st year pay... That could be really handy...

One my FAs was doing it. Instead of threatening to call in FAT for the company interrupting your rest, you can for them interrupting your shift!!

I don't know which regional has the "best" contract, but from my way of thinking, those are the ones you want to stay away from. They're the ones with no growth that will get dropped in the next round of musical regionals.

I'm no Airline buff, but I doubt Horizon is going anywhere and I think staffing will be the main issue at the regional level. Again, no crystal ball here.
