which regional would you choose?

As a teacher, I tried to never look at behavioral evaluations of students I have yet to meet. I have learned that often other people's opinions and conclusions were not always accurate. I like to make up my own mind, without influence from people I do not know. I came to Gojet based on recommendations from friends who currently fly there, and who's opinions I respect. Perhaps it was a mistake- time will tell- but as of this moment I am content with my decision.
That's definitely understandable, in the next few months when I send my apps out, I'll finally get to pick my poison from whoever thinks I'm qualified. Thankfully i'm unmarried and single which gives me a ton of flexibility.

I would pick the best of any place that takes you and will put you in something larger than a 50 seater because that MIGHT mean a little more job security so you don't have to do any lateral movements before you make it to a major (and a liveable paycheck).

I'll be honest, I haven't concerned myself with pay rates, cancellation pay, and all that other stuff some feel is important. I would be more concerned with the latter if I was looking for a place to call home.

This is a problem. Even bottom feeder Colgan, when we were non-unionized had cancelation pay. These things ARE important for the entire industry to ensure that all airlines have these basic items in their contract. I am concerned that...

I left flying six years ago to take a job as a middle school teacher. Those 6 years have taught me that flying airplanes is a pretty cool gig, and one I won't take for granted. I just have to keep my eye on the prize!!

...one would overlook the fact that, while it is an awesome job, don't be blinded to the real negatives of a place like GoJet.

Finally, for those looking to make a move to a regional, there are MUCH better places out there with HUGE upsides besides GoJets. Compass, PSA, and Mesa are hiring. Go there instead.
