No, it looks fine if you're wearing a point or button-down collar. President Kennedy wore a four-in-hand pretty regularly. When it comes to men's fashion, if it's good enough for Jack, it's good enough for us.

Just had a discussion with my FO on certain tie knots with pointed collar and widespread collar shirts. His response," LOL Wut" :ooh:

Anytime I had a job where a clip on tie was an option, I went with clip on. I'm lazy, and that way it is quick to take off when I'm out of the public eye and want to stuff it in my pocket. I wear a traditional tie when I need to look spiffy for something non-work related. Never heard of a zipper tie.

Oh please. I've seen how 98% of the Uniform Nazis dress outside the cockpit. Dad jeans, striped polo, white sneakers. Not even an ounce of style.

Oh yeah? Me too bud, I know it and seen it. And it's disgraceful.

But hey - they're comfortable right?

On that note, the uniform nazi's are dirtbags in their own category of dirtbags.

On the flip side, casual-dress nazi's are trey-cool!!! :D

I preferred the zipper ties but I no longer have that option and have to wear a conventional tie.

I usually do a four in hand know or a double Windsor
