Being gone more than you're home. Expect to have minimum days off (12 at most carriers). Assume 18 days away per month.
Unless you're on reserve - but even then, gone more than home is not an outside possibility.
I'm the second to last lineholder in my category this month--I was awarded a composite (both reserve and trips) line. Here's the schedule. "RE2" means PM reserve (0900-2100 or 1000-2200 depending on their mood).
