We better all slim down

People are funny. They're told, "lose weight or you'll die," and get the response, "yeah, whatever. You guys want to go to the Golden Corral? My thyroid is really acting up, nothing a chocolate Wonderfall can't fix."

They're told, "lose weight or you can't work," and it's the end of the world.

I don't think its even that. I think its lose weight or you won't get paid.

and what hotels are these? I've never seen a suite with 2 bedrooms and a living room (aside from extended stay type places)
Only one I can think of is Residence Inn. I stayed in one for ramp training a few years back and it was like being in a friggin apartment.

I think that Ramada at APA(which I'm sure you're familiar with) has them.
Is that one of the magical show up type guys?

I never realized this but the guy I do my medical at does everything by the book like straight up. if I can't read the 20/20 line he'll say "Ok try one more time, if you can't read it I'm gonna have to ask you to get your prescription checked and reschedule"

I thought that was normal but apparently not!

Do you guys not have any loss of license disability payments in your CBA?

LOL is offered during open enrollment. It is not directly tied to our CBA, it is however part of our benefits package offered by the company. Serviced by The Hartford.

As Joe said, it is limited but is extremely cheap, so long as the company manages the payroll deduction portion of it correctly - which they have been known not to.

We stay in a lot of Homewood Suites (Hilton property)... I'm a hilton rewards member so this and Gardens are my "go to". Homewoods aren't too shabby. Free breakfast, free dinner on Mondays through Thursdays, and they usually have shuttle services to places around the hotel.

that sounds pretty sweet. I'm at a doubletree atm. I'm not usually partial to hilton since I have a marriot card but hiltons are usually nice too.

I guess I just always pick the lowest ones of the brand (courtyards, doubletrees, hamptons, etc) so that explains that.

Hamptons are the lowest within the Hilton properties. Doubletrees are a step up, but just not having enough rooms to be classified as a Hilton.

For your basic rooms, Hampton Inn's on the Hilton side and Fairfield Inn's on the Marriott sides are the way to go. I am Diamond with Hilton so stay with that brand as much as possible. I am also of the opinion that Hilton's reward program is > Marriott's. Of all the brands though, Priority Club (Holiday Inn) is the easiest and requires the least amount of points for free room redemption. IMO, Hilton has the most promotions going on throughout the year.

Hilton has the best promotions and impo the overall best quality hotels I've stayed at. Love Hilton Gardens for the made to order free breakfast (if your a gold or diamond member) and the select comfort beds. Usually stay at a Homewood Suites while traveling for work though. I do like the JW Marriotts a lot though... Very comparable to an HGI.

I have to say that Hyatt is my leading favorite. Its certainly more upscale, but Hyatt Places are pretty reasonably priced. Hyatt Houses are their extended stay hotels and usually pretty nice. Then there's their credit card where just for getting it and using it once, you get two free nights at any Hyatt in the world. We stayed at the Park Hyatt Tokyo, usually a $400-$600/night hotel room for exactly zero dollars.
